About us

As a family law attorney, my practice is rooted in personal experience and a deep understanding of the emotional toll that divorce and family disputes can take. Having witnessed the challenges of my own parents' divorce firsthand—including bitter custody battles, visitation conflicts, and the fallout from unresolved issues—I made it my life’s mission to help families navigate these difficult transitions with dignity and respect.

Your best future awaits you. Rather than pushing for litigation, which can be both financially and emotionally draining, I advocate for alternative dispute resolution methods like mediation, settlement negotiations, and Collaborative Divorce. These approaches offer you and your family more constructive and compassionate solutions, minimizing conflict and preserving relationships, especially when children are involved.

Your legal interests will be protected, in a way that u emerge from this process with clarity and hope for the future. I believe in empowering my clients to make informed decisions that will help them build a stable and fulfilling life post-divorce, avoiding the emotional toll and financial strain that litigation imposes.

I have strong roots in the East End of Long Island, although I now divide my time between New York and central Georgia. I earned a degree in psychology from SUNY Stony Brook University and went on to obtain my law degree from Hofstra University School of Law. My involvement with Collaborative Divorce began in 2008 as a student, and I received formal training in the Collaborative Divorce process in May 2017. Since then, I have continued to engage in extensive training in alternative dispute resolution methods.

After years of litigating divorce cases and witnessing the harm it causes families, I made the decision to step away from litigation entirely. I firmly believe that the court system is not equipped to provide families with the resolutions they need. In addition to my legal work, I spent over 20 years working alongside a dedicated community of advocates, helping developmentally disabled women achieve independence, even in small but significant ways.

I am a member of the New York State Council of Divorce Mediators and a member of the  International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. I am also the founder and President of the Long Island Collaborative Divorce Professionals, Inc., a coalition of interdisciplinary experts who are all dedicated to serving Long Island families in supportive and confidential ways during times of family crisis. I am committed to assisting families through the process of peacemaking.
