Join Me On Monday, May 18th at 1:00pm For a Free Webinar on How Parent Education Classes Help Advance Court Cases and Improve Family Outcomes

I’m proud to work with the fantastic nonprofit FamilyKind as a legal educator for their parent education classes. If you’re not familiar with FamilyKind, they support families in transition during times of separation or divorce, including parent education, mediation and parenting coordination.

FamilyKind is launching a peer-to-peer free webinar series for professionals, which I will be co-hosting on Monday, May 18th at 1:00 p.m.

Future webinars continue on the 3rd Monday of each month.

The parent education classes that FamilyKind provides are an incredible resource for families, and I hope to see many of my professional colleagues there!

ABOUT THE WEBINAR

Webinar 1: How Certified Parent Education Classes Help Advance Court Cases and Improve Family Outcomes

During this webinar, matrimonial and family law attorneys will gain a clear understanding about what their clients will learn while participating in a Certified Parent Education class. Information will be shared about the topics covered and the skills parents learn, all of which do not displace the vital role that attorneys provide to clients. Attorneys will learn that their clients’ attendance at these classes is vital to the success of their cases and improves how families move forward after divorce and separation.

 Attendees will learn:

  • The importance of parents communicating effectively with each other for the benefit of their children

  • Skills that improve client communication with their attorneys and other involved family professionals

  • Effective co-parenting strategies and techniques to reduce conflict

  • Ways these classes help court cases proceed more smoothly

  • The role of the Office of Court Administration

  • What parents, attorneys, judges and other family professionals say about the impact of Certified Parent Education Classes

 Expert Faculty

Two seasoned family law attorneys and FamilyKind educators will lead this interactive and educational discussion.

• Shari Bornstein, Litigator, mediator, and collaborative attorney

• Elizabeth Vaz , Collaborative attorney and mediator, focused on family matters
